You can upgrade to the current version of the CalCAP
at any time for $50 plus shipping. Just write, call or send an e-mail to the address shown below (orders over the web are not yet
available) -- be sure to specify the languages that you will be using (English,
Spanish, Norwegian or Danish). If you have conducted research with the CalCAP, just send me a copy of the published article or
abstract, and I'll send you an upgrade for free!
The most up-to-date version of the CalCAP was released in September 1998. To see if you have the most current version, look in your CalCAP subdirectory for the following file: RT0296.EXE -- the date of creation for this file should be 8/31/98 or later. Versions prior to 8/31/98 have a Year 2000 problem that will cause the program to stop functioning on January 1, 2000. You can download a corrected version of the RT0296.EXE module from this web site, or order an upgrade to the CalCAP program as described above.
If the RT0296.EXE module is not present in your CalCAP subdirectory, then you will need to upgrade to the current version of CalCAP to correct both the Year 2000 problem and a problem with running the CalCAP on computers that run faster than the Intel 486 (that is, any computer that uses a Pentium or better microprocessor).
